Privacy Policy
Introduction
This privacy policy explains how Papr, a product built by tangble, handles your data. We believe in transparency and simplicity, so we've written this in plain language.
Papr is a calm, distraction-free writing editor for WordPress. It connects a WordPress plugin to a web app at papr.tangble.com, allowing you to write and manage your WordPress content in a focused environment.
What data Papr accesses
When you use Papr, the web app accesses your WordPress content (posts, pages, and related data) through the WordPress REST API. This allows you to view and edit your content within the Papr interface.
Papr also accesses basic information about your WordPress site needed to establish and maintain the connection, such as your site URL.
How data is handled
Your content is processed entirely in your browser. When you write or edit, your content travels directly between your browser and your WordPress site. tangble does not store your post content on our servers.
WordPress remains the source of truth for all your content. Papr is simply a window into your WordPress site — everything you create lives on your own WordPress installation.
Authentication works through a connection token that is stored in your browser's local storage. This token allows Papr to communicate with your WordPress site on your behalf. The token stays in your browser and is used to authenticate requests directly with your WordPress site.
Cookies and tracking
Papr does not use analytics, tracking scripts, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers. We don't collect usage data or monitor your behavior. The only data stored in your browser is the connection token needed to communicate with your WordPress site.
Third-party services
Papr communicates directly with your WordPress site using the WordPress REST API. We do not send your content to any third-party services. Your data flows between your browser and your WordPress site — tangble infrastructure is not in that path.
User control and data ownership
You own your content. Everything you write in Papr is stored on your WordPress site, which you control. We do not have access to your content, and we do not store copies of it.
You can disconnect Papr from your WordPress site at any time by removing the connection from the WordPress plugin settings. You can also clear the connection token from your browser by clearing your browser's local storage or site data for papr.tangble.com.
tangble does not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Papr after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
